    I needed to share this with you all. It really sums up life.

    God didn't promise days without Pain, laughter without Sorrow, nor sun without Rain, but he did promise, Strength for the day, Comfort for the tears and Light for the way. (author unkown)

    We just need to keep putting one foot in front of the other and our arms around each other. We will survive this vicious disease, somewhat intact, bruised, battered, but Alive to go on and try a new path. I love you all. Arms around and around, Susan
  1.
    Right you are, Susan!
  2.
    Susan, here is the entire song, but I haven't had time to determine who wrote it. It's a beautiful song.

    God hath not promised skies always blue,
    Flower strewn pathways all our lives through;
    God hath not promised sun without rain,
    Joy without sorrow, peace without pain.
    Refrain

    But God hath promised strength for the day,
    Rest for the labor, light for the way,
    Grace for the trials, help from above,
    Unfailing sympathy, undying love.

    God hath not promised we shall not know
    Toil and temptation, trouble and woe;
    He hath not told us we shall not bear
    Many a burden, many a care.

    Refrain

    God hath not promised smooth roads and wide,
    Swift, easy travel, needing no guide;
    Never a mountain rocky and steep,
    Never a river turbid and deep.

    Refrain

    To: YOU
    Date: TODAY
    From: GOD
    Subject: YOURSELF
    Reference: LIFE

    This is God. Today I will be handling All of your problems for you. I do Not need your help. So, have a nice day.
    I love you.

    P.S. And, remember...
    If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do Not attempt to resolve it yourself! Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. I will get to it in MY TIME. All situations will be resolved, but in My time, not yours.

    Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now.

    If you find yourself stuck in traffic, don't despair. There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege.

    Should you have a bad day at work; think of the man who has been out of work for years.

    Should you despair over a relationship gone bad; think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return.
    Should you grieve the passing of another weekend; think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children.

    Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance; think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk.

    Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror; think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine.
    Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking what is my purpose? Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity.

    Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities; remember, things could be worse. You could be one of them!

    Should you decide to send this to a friend; Thank you. You may have touched their life in ways you will never know!
    Now, you have a nice day...God

    God has seen you struggling,
    God says it's over.
    A blessing is coming your way. If you believe in God, please send to ten people (including me) please don't ignore this.

    This was emailed to me on one of my hard days.

    Susan - Vickie Thanks. Had never heard this song - it's beautiful. Mary - thanks for the youtube. We know God is always there for us, but sometimes we can forget. This is a good reminder.

    Susan - I see you live in LI. I do also (Manorville - but work in Commack). Where are you?
