Does anyone have any suggestions for a one piece jumpsuit, etc that my father could take off for toileting but would keep his pants from falling off and/or showing 1/2 of his rear?
  1.
How about old fashioned bib overalls
  2.
I want to find some khaki pants that have elastic all the way around the waist. I've only found the ones with elastic in the back. IWe have problems with the hooks and/or buttons when we've gotta "go" fast! Anyone seen those around??? He won't wear knit jogging pants. He only wants Khaki's.

I assume Nancy you are saying there is only elastic around the back and the front half is solid material. If so and you have a sewing machine, you can always sow elastic around the front to make them tighter.

Nancy, try Penney's on-line. I read about them on this site, and ordered some last month - not for the reason you need them, but because my DH had trigger finger in his thumbs, had to have each thumb taped to the index finger on the same hand to rest them, and couldn't handle buttons and zippers. To go to a public restroom alone, he needed pants he could manage by himself. The pants are nice looking and easy to deal with. They do have buttons and zippers, but the elastic is stretchy enough that they can be pulled up and down without unfastening either. Penney's doesn't have them in the stores.

NancyB try Haband. They have a wide range of sizes, fabrics, and styles, including ones with all 'round elastic. Their mens clothes (at least all the ones we've bought) have been good quality and size. I've had trouble with their women's sizes not running true.

carolb4---have you tried suspenders? Get wide ones, not narrow "fashion ones. Try sporting goods stores in the hunting clothes or men's accessories.

Here's the link to the elastic waist khakis at Penneys. The outlet is selling them for $9.99:

    http://www.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6.aspx?DeptID=63956&CatID=63956&Grptyp=SIZ&ItemId=1681919

Also the company Buck and Buck sells adaptive clothing with elastic and even velcro closures.

I know Mary and I both swear by those Penney's pants. BUt be careful: some of them, not all of them, have SNAPS at the waist. the outlet has limited sizes but what you are looking for are:
    Towncraft®Pleated Full-Elastic Easy Care Pants
The ones with buttons are great, but if you get the ones with snaps, be careful unpacking, you may want to return them.

I tried the ones at penny's, the normal size my husband wears did not fit, I had to return them, I get ours from Buck N Buck, they are nice, elastic all the way around, and roomy enough for the depends with pads. The web site is listed over to the side on this site.

I just recently found elastic waist pants for men at Walmart. The brand is Puritan and they cost $9.00. They have the dark and light khaki, olive green and black in 60 % cotton and 40% polyester with a draw string in the waist band. They also come in a light weight 100% cotton denim which was my favorite. They have a fake fly and pockets in the front and one pocket in the back. They were well made and just what I was looking for.

I've always had very good luck with JC Penney, and my DH is 6'4 and 320 lbs. Not an easy guy to buy for. He loves the all cottonjersey pants, he doesn't care about style, just comfort :o) So if it makes him happy, I'm happy!
