I still think we need to build a self-contained community. Then we could all take care of each other. A Geriatric Payton Place, lol! With some really good meals, lol! Come on and join in,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,!
MEMORY LANE COMMUNITY

Ooh. May I be the first to hire Mary's Merry Maid service? I'll also subscribe to the newspaper and stop by Phranque's frequently. Not sure what I can offer though. Remember I'm a math teacher. All I can do is subtract 7 from 100 repeatedly.
I got it! I'm pretty good at washing dishes and doing laundry. I also make fantastic chocolate chip cookies. Any call for either of those in our community?
Janet - MATH? Are you kidding? You could be the most valuable of all. Someone will need to keep track of finances and it certainly couldn't be me.
What I'm good at. Rituals and ceremonies for rites of passage. Bookseller, experience in rare books and new books. I could operate our book shop. AND I'd like to run a weekly SACRED CIRCLE in briegull's botanical garden. I facilitated one for six years in my old life. We need a safe and sacred space where our words and thoughts are honored and where we will NOT BE INTERRUPTED. Yes, that's it.
Terry's Sacred Circle and community bookshop.
P.S. Has anyone located a place in the SF Bay Area we can actually afford? I so miss it esp. the glorious weather.
I will be honored to provide fresh garden deliveries. Right now the only item available are gourds - about 100 of them. Bird house, snake and apples. Huge. Will post photos on Facebook soon.
Sorry about that, marsh, I shouldn't do that to a follow musician and sailor. She could work at the Medical Center and lease the boutique, but still own it and have her name on it.
You guys are awesome! I say we look at Kentucky for our Memory Lane Phunny Pharm. I don't think we have anyone from there, so that way we would all have to move. I think the climate there is supposed to be quite nice. What do you all think?
Susan, I'm from Kentucky, but you are all welcome here on Lake Cumberland. It's a beautiful spot; climate isn't great - gets really hot - but winters are usually quite mild - some snow, once inawhile ice - but what the hey! Come on down!
I love all of you guys! Wouldn't it be wonderful it we really could build a community like the one above. A place where everyone "gets it", where we all can help each other, hold each other, teach each other, comfort each other, and share the caring of those we love the most. It sounds like heaven to me....I often wish for such a place. In the meantime, I'll join the cyber town gladly. Don't know how I might contribute, I like to knit so maybe Chris could hire me in the quilt shop and add some knitting. I'd work for free coffee. (addicted)
Sign up for Isa's Doggy Daycare! I love the dogs, will walk and groom and have good experience talking to my own dog. He's a great listener, never gets tired of my complaints. Please, please let me join the community.......
