Those round sliders that you place under the legs are the thing to have when moving furniture. Super easy to push heavy furniture around.

he doesn't tuck in in, Bama. And you may need to start getting boost pads, that don't have plastic on the back, and line the depends with them. Medline makes some, I think some others so.

Kadee's right. Those circular (they make other shapes too) sliders are terrific back savers. I have "bookseller's back" which comes from too many years of lifting heavy boxes of books. The first year after DX my back was a mess as I lifted and pushed and pulled way too much in the packing and moving and reno. TAKE CARE!

Will those sliders work under DH's feet? I am finding more and more that I have to help him move. I swear he has forgotten how to get in bed. If this is what 6 going into 7 stage is like, I am beginning to have more sympathy for all of you that are going through this. Okay, I know, things will get worse but because of all of you posting I understand what is happening. Thank all of you who are educating and lending your loving support to our daily lives. Love you all

    Lets see, This week...

    I put up sheetrock

I changed a door, had to drill the holes for the knob and sand the slot for the hinges. Had to use a skill saw to cut the bottom of the door so it would fit, and sand the sides down. It was a lot of work! but it hangs right and even closes ;)

I fixed the dryer, changed heating element and lint duct.

I fixed two broken electrical outlets (and still living to tell about it lol)

I put in a new toilet (SHOCKED FACE)

I fixed the sink, new faucet etc

I fixed the lawn mower, sharpened the blade, changed the choke. (Had no idea what that was before LOL)

And, I cleaned out Lynn's closet and burrow...............

I am going to make our room, mine. I got a new bed set, new curtains, painted and "girlafied" it. Now, I just
need to see if I can sleep in there.... accccck

Nikki, I am in awe. Do you hire out? That's a mighty impressive list of accomplishments. I could make good use of a lot of those services. I'm glad you're fixing up your room, for you.

LOL Folly. I have company coming to stay with me so I wanted to get some of these things done. No funds to hire anyone so figured I best learn! I had no idea how to do any of them!! Very thankful for google LOL
It DID make me very aware of just how much Lynn use to do around here. He could have had that door up in 15 minutes. Took me 3 nights!! There was just nothing that man couldn't do, and seems he always knew just how to do it too!! Lord but I miss him.........

Nikki, I totally agree with folly*. You are an amazing person. (DO you hire out?) <lol>

    WOW! You guys are great!

I'm proud today because I have finally decided to get a second opinion on my knee and ankle! Waited far too long!
  3.
Ann...I can give you that second opinion free of charge...you have nice legs, and your knee is right in the middle where it should be, and your ankle is connected to your foot, which is all good. And if both your legs look alike, then you are in great shape.

Oh Frank.......THANKS SO MUCH for the much needed laugh!

    Ann

    PS---Check in the mail :)

Frank, you are just too much !!....... Betcha couldn't have diagnosed my concuss'd brain. My eyebrow was below the eye orbit on my face. I'd put make-up on one eye..and concealer on the other one. No eyebrow pencil on the right eye...how wierd would that have been. I'm getting back in the grove again...swelling and blue black purple pink red yellow eye and face is almost back to it's former shape and color.
  5.
Nancy..your condition is known as rainbow eye, very similiar to pink eye except that the colors are multicolored. Eye conditions are determined by color...such as red eye, black eye, pink eye, yellow eyes and there are also blue eyes, brown eyes, green eyes, & hazel eyes. The most severe of these are the orange eyes..a very rare disorder and one that I have yet to see.

Phranque, you are invited to the UT/Texas Tech game this evening at 7 pm -- you will see a stadium full of burnt orange-eyed folks!

Proud today because I finally got DH over to the office to get blood tapped for lab work.
Last week I failed miserably. I had the bright idea of going by bike, it's just in the next town over. But they had moved into a new building, I couldn't find it fast enough, DH got impatient, turned his bike around and said he was going home, and off he went. Nothing to do but follow him home.
So today we went by car, not talking about it ahead of time, being very matter of fact. He said No, he wasn't going but I went out and got in the car and he came out and got in. Grumbled most of the way, then when we got there said he wasn't going in that building, but he did follow me in. Once we got in there and took a number it all looked pretty familiar and he was patient enough waiting our turn and pleasant to the nurse. Even when he had to go off and urinate into a bottle for her (Yes it was on the paper but a stressed-out care-giver cannot, repeat CANNOT think of everything.
Lesson learned: it's easier to get him somewhere he doesn't want to go if we're in a car and I'm driving.

I am really proud of my son and daughter for setting up their website...http://worksinfaith.org/
Kevin did all the programming and web design, and it blew me away. I did not know he could do it. Goes to show how time and effort can accomplish so much.
  7.
Phranque the site looks great. Filing for the 501c is so tricky-hope they get it. You and your wife raised great kids
  8.
A wonderful, giving plan. Phranque, you did a great job with your kids. Hope it will be very successful!

Frank, what a good enterprise. I'm wondering about location: is it for a particular area?
