I am sitting here wishing for a really great weekend with no fights and no having to tell half-truths to avoid a fight. I want conversation without having to defend what I said and be able to blab on and on like I like to and just have DH listen and be agreeable to whatever I say.
Tomorrow morning, I am helping DH and several other men pour a lot of cement at a friend's house. then, we are taking our 4-wheelers and tent to the mountains. Our son will be leaving tonight and have a camp site set up when we get there. I am dreaming about a wonderful evening on Saturday with a camp fire, giggling, and conversation. I want to stay up late with everyone around the fire at least until 11:00 p.m. and DH won't be tired and ready for bed at 9:00 p.m.
Mary in Montana.....please...you didn't start anything here. You have the nicest weekend planned and see to it that you GO THROUGH WITH IT! You're one lucky Momma! Wish I were in your shoes this weekend. Or, at least some bug on a branch! You GO girl!
My dream weekend would be spent not having to referree arguments and misunderstandings on my website. Everyone is stressed, including me, but the sniping back and forth is detrimental to everyone. Differing opinons expressed with respect are always welcome, but the bickering threatens to destroy all I have worked so hard to create.
I am asking you to please respect my wishes and stop the nasty comments to one another on this public forum.
As for me, I would like some of my old friends to come over and help me with my ponies .... but they won't because they're busy with thier own stables, kids and showing. I'd like to put a couple of my ponies on board my trailer and go out to a show just to get them used to to all the ruckus and traveling and having to stand tied to the trailer all day....party with the old crew and not worrry about what's happening at home. I'd like to go to the beach, Yorktown or Williamsburg, VA and have some money for shopping for stupid stuff at the outlet malls. I'd LOVE to have the weekend to visit my parents and do something for THEM instead of the other way around. I'd like to swim in an ocean, have a beer on a boardwalk, see a ballgame, hot tub under the stars....ANYthing with someone special....male or female. Just some good old adult conversation and fun like I miss having anymore. I'd like to just have a good time. I've read this over twice, joang......no one could be stressed about it ..... I hope you can have a good and peaceful weekend. Don't worry about a thing. I'm not bothered about what I can't control right now......acceptance is coming slowly to this lonely fighter. And, I LIKE MYSELF.....and you can be VERY PROUD of this site and what you've been able to do with all of us brats.
I really did have a good weekend. I didn't have to help pour cement so I got an entire morning by my self. I even took a short nap which I only do "once in a blue moon." I had all the camping stuff ready so I only needed to load the truck when he got back from the cement pour. I did this while he was showering. We took a great 4-wheeler ride with son and then cooked hambergers for dinner. DH actually stayed up until 11:00 p.m. or so and son went to bed first. On Sunday, we have a great group breakfast and took another ride. Got home about 4:00 p.m. Everything went really well.
A dream come true.
Joan, I plan on helping you with your dream. It should be pretty easy to acheive if everyone else helps also. thanks for all of your help. I don't know what I would do without you and the others.
