JCPenney's has the pull up pants available again in all sizes. I love them because they a) are really pull-up, not just elasticized. The front has a BUTTON (which you never think of as important until you buy some with SNAPS) and a zipper, and they don't have belt loops. They're $21.99 if you buy two pair. I have been using two pair over and over when they're clean and all the ones I've bought since then (because Penney's was out) have not been as satisfactory. They have both denim and chambray, several colors. They look like regular slacks, not running gear.

Thanks, briegull, I have to buy DH some pants - he has lost some weight and needs a smaller size. He has a couple pair of these but too big, so will get the smaller size.

I started out buying three pair before my husband needed them. Now, he needs them and sometimes we have to change him twice a day. So, I bought three more pair, so I can make certain that there are always two fresh pair clean and ready while getting up a load's worth to wash in the machine!

Jim loves the pajama pants that are pull-up for daily wear, they come in Black, Navy and Grey, he liks the Black and Navy. At 6'4 and 300 lbs he is not easy to buy for and these are comfy, reasonable and wash and dry nicely. They don't look bad with a nice golf shirt or jersey either. At night he will only wear flannel bottoms???? JCPenny online is one of the best selections I have found. It's the only place I shop for him, pretty much. Strange coincidence: He started out after the service as a Manager for JC Penny's way back when.

    briegull,
do these pull up pants from JC Penny do good over incontinence underwear? I have been buying from BuckNBuck because they are made larger in the seat but of course they are more expensive. I have been looking at the pull up that you are talking about but wondered about how the sizes run.

I also wonder about the button, it would seem that if a person is incontinent they would leave off the zipper and button and just make them as pull ups. Do the buttons cause a problem when trying to dress your husband??

Jane, Clare can answer you too, but my husband is in depends, and he wears his regular size. The elastic stretches so that they don't have to be unbuttoned, but for some reason some of the time my husband will button and unbutton them and other times we'll just pull them down and up without unfastening.

    Thank you Mary,
we don't just have the depends but also pads inside them, is the seat in the pull up large to take care of that without being to tight ?
  4.
His are, but he has a small backside. (Just the opposite of me!) It would hold a TENA extra large pad inside a Depends and still have room. If you get them and they aren't the right size, Penney's will exchange them.

These pants make them seem like they are wearing jeans or slacks instead of the pull ons that they actually are....that's why they will wear them.

Yes, they go on over depends. I got him some others, I forget where, and they had SNAPS at the waist. You do not have pull up pants with SNAPS, they unsnap. I sewed them shut so he'd just use them as pullups and he carefully undid the sewing. Cursing.

Be warned, though, twice when I've gone to get them they've been out of sizes (which are both regular and big-man). So order what you need when you can get them.

Bar-bra, Penney's, bless their heart, don't carry them in the stores! You can only get them online! If you don't like them, you can send them back.

    http://www4.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6.aspx?DeptID=53006&CatID=59496&GrpTyp=SIZ&ItemID=171d81c&attrtype=&attrvalue=&CMID=53006%7c53009%7c53030&Fltr=&Srt=&QL=F&IND=4&cmVirtualCat=&CmCatId=53006|53009|53030|59496

You can try copying and pasting this and see...it is at jcp.com; men; pants; casual; all elastic waist.

    Good luck!

    Bar bra,
If you go to the website click on Mens Pants, then Towncraft, that is where you will see them. I just ordered (4) pair and hope they are as good as the Buck N Buck

THANKS Mary! ........ unfortunately the shipping is $9.50 to me - about 1/2 the cost of the pants plus I'd have to pay the Custom's Broker as Penny's will only ship using their services and not just regular mail - oh well.

I did google Towncraft®Plain Front Full Elastic Pants in Canada but didn't come up with any links - Towncraft is probably Penny's own branding - maybe they have a different name up here.

It's becoming increasingly difficult for my husband to do up his trousers with a button and zipper so these would have really been the answer 'cuz with my arthritic hands and carpal tunnel it's almost impossible for me to help him.

I'll check around some more and if I come up with any good sources will post for other Canadian members.

There are some "free shipping" codes for JCP, usually you can google for them. If Joan doesn't have a problem, I could post one.

Bless your heart briegull ...... that is so incredibly kind of you to offer but I can't put any more on your plate - you have enough to contend with ........ I'll find some somewhere up here - just need to make an all out effort :)

PatB - the "free shipping" codes for JCP are just for statesde shipping ...... international shipping isn't included.

I'll keep looking and let you all know what I find.

Truly I go to the post office almost daily so I don't mind forwarding things.

I produce a Monhegan calendar for our land trust that people order over the net and I mail out.

...and Briegull can write HAPPY BIRTHDAY on the box so they will be considered a "gift" by Customs. :-)
