just had to get the tabloid today for DH and its saying Laura Bush is back (they split when they left the whitehouse) she was living in Dallas, him in Crawford ranch-with George due to the possibility he has AD!! well that might explain alot of things.. hahah... seriously, if that would be true, and people around him are saying his memory is shot, then Laura Bush maybe would become a new spokesperson at some point for AD, and that WOULD be good - anytime anyone important gets AD the limelight will be in the news. we shall see soon enough, the media will be relentless in pursuing it if its viable. divvi
I have seen on Youtube clips of his speeches/talks & then people speculating that he has AD. It seems familiar to me. I have often thought that after seeing what I saw. I did not know that they had split after he left office. Odd , if true, 2 recent presidents.
I tend to agree, Weejun. Our local news covers both of them "in the area" alot...we are in Arlington, just west of Dallas, so we tend to see/hear news about them that maybe the entire country does not.
That cinches it! I WILL NO LONGER PERSUE MY DREAM OF BECOMING PRESIDENT. I'M SORRY TO DISAPPOINT MY DEVOTED SUPPORTERS, BUT I CANNOT RISK DEVELOPING, UH, UM, OH, DAMM, I FORGOT WHAT IT WAS, BUT ANYWAY, I'M NOT RUNNING, I PREFER A NICE SLOW WALK, HOLDING MY HONEY'S HAND.
Has anyone seen Tracy Ullman doing Laura Bush? It's not perfect--like her Arianna Huffington--but it's pretty good. She's always smoking up a storm and complaining how hot it is in Crawford.
Laura Bush used to be a chain smoker, but had stopped smoking entirely years ago. I don't believe anything those tabloids write and refuse to subsidize their trash by buying them. We attend the same church as the senior Bushes heloped organize almost 50 years ago, and they have always been members of the parish..even came during their White House years.
I doubt Jr. has AD, but have no way of knowing. I do NOT want to believe it. Interesting fact though. In my husban's study, ther are pictures of him in his State Department days, one with Pope John Paul, one with Ronald Reagan and one with Margaret Thatcher. All had Alzheimer's.... (the pope's was Parkinson's dementia). Curious coincidence.
Today, a prospect for buying this home came by. He's a retired 2 Star General. Guess what? His wife said he was just diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. Her daughter lives around the corner and they are looking for a home closer to her.
Every day, I run into someone else who has a friend or family member who has been diagnosed. Too many, too many!
