This year so far has not been a good one for me. After losing my beloved SIL in April I have had to watch my Dad in the last stages of AD. He ate or drunk very little for weeks & when he died on the 27th June he looked like a skeleton with skin on. My poor Mum would get so upset each day after visiting him. On the day before he died I visited him & found him in a wheelchair so I took him for a walk all around the rest home to see the people he knew & the staff in the dementia wing where he had lived until 10 days before he died having been transfered to the hospital wing. We ended up walking around to Mum's appartment in the same rest home/village little did I know it was his goodbye walk. We had his funeral on 1st July we made it a family affair with us 3 children, 8 grandchildren speaking also some of his greatgrandchildren speaking & singing. Dad was 95yrs & until AD hit had had a good life so we were able to speak of good memories
