I sent a note to Mary's son, Dean, who is on Facebook, that some of us would like to help Mary cope with what must be overwhelming unexpected expenses in connection with her sad loss.
He replied: Thank you for your generous offer. We're still trying to get our minds wrapped around everything that has happened. The strain on my mother has been extremely intense due to my fathers condition.
There have been expenses to say the least. A death in the family is always accompanied by unexpected expenses, but when it happens in Hawaii, those expenses become astronomical.
We are making arrangements to bring her back home, hopefully arriving Monday morning. We have the memorial service scheduled for Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Central Baptist Church on Fairway in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
