    I had applied early last year for Aid and Dependence - turned down because of our income and I also work part time and have an IRA. Got a letter today that effective June, 2009, we/you may now qualify if household income does not exceed the current VA income thresholds by more than 10%. There is an Enrollment Calculator at
    www.va.gov to help determine potential eligibility under this legislation.

    I saw it at the VA on our last visit. We are always under the threshold so have always qualified. But it is good that they have revised it.

    Now, if they would revise dates of service to qualify....hb in Korea but after the heat of battle. Of course, as Jane Q. Taxpayer, we can't pay for everything for everyone--but we try, I guess.
