OK guys and gals, so many of us here have been complaining about our mid-section, including me, I thought we should also have a thread for tasty low cal desserts. Get out mind off chocolate and sugar a little. I am still thinking of one. I know I must have one.

OK! Here is what I do when I can not have Blue Bell ice cream.
Vanilla wafers flavored low fat yogurt Cool Whip LITE Paper muffin cups
Mix equal parts of yogurt and cool whip... Place a vamilla in the bottom of each paper cup (I also use muffin pan so they keep their shape). put a good sized "dollop" of yogurt mixture on top of vanilla wafer put another vanilla wafer on top....makes like an ice cream sandwich
Continue until you fill the pan and put in freezer until frozen again....eat with gusto!!! I like them with peach yogurt.
Cut berries and place in bottom of 10in pie pan. (9 in is fine too)
In a medium saucepan combine pudding mix, gelatin mix, and water. Stir well and bring to a full boil. Pour mixture over strawberries and refrigerate for 4 to 6 hours.
Please do not consider using Aspartame as a sweetener. As I posted on another thread, it breaks down into two highly toxic chemicals, one of which is formaldehyde. There are many complaints on file with the FDA about it causing headaches, and there are studies showing that it causes brain lesions in rats. Sucralose is much safer, and saccharin is the least toxic of all the artificial sweeteners. Some of the altered sugars, like Xylitol, are "natural," are lower calorie than sugar and are actually good for you. Xylitol prevents bacteria from adhering to your teeth, and Xylitol gum is recommended by the American Dental Ass'n as beneficial in reducing tooth decay.
