I had a weird dream last night. We were all on these our buses when a hot springs came up. It wasn't really hot - just bath water warm. Our spouses all started yelling in their childlike voices for the driver to stop. The buses stopped, our spouses jumped out and started running for the springs stripping as they went (some stripped on the buses before leaving). We all followed but in our swim suits. It didn't matter how far along in this horrible disease they were, how disabled they had become - they were all able to play in the water (about 3 feet deep) laughing and having a blast unaware or not caring that they were in the buff. Us on the other hand, put our suits on and just lounged in the warm water relaxing.

Sounds wonderful! Sweet dreams are the best. I think it must be the ocean air, so fresh and clean. I have had some funny dreams lately, balances my not so funny life!
  1.
The ship has been placed on auto pilot, and we are now sailing in circles...It seemed to be appropriate and so we will be cruising in a tight circle for a few days....Good news..the bars are open all day and all night, and all of the drinks are specially mixed not to interfere with any and all medications.
No the towline is not being cut (it is indestructible). But cruising in circles allows everyone just to relax and enjoy...
The margarita machine has been redesigned...it is now possible to lay by the pool, and attach the margarita drip so that it trickles into your mouth....our special sensors only dispense it when it senses your mouth being opened......we are also working on a rum machine, and a special mix machine.....should be operational very soon.
  2.
I think I'm fallin' in love with Cap'n Phranque.

we're not going to cut our own tow line, are we? (-:
  3.
Thank all of you for the visit while the ship docked in Hawaii! ((HUGS)) to everyone! I'm now on board and phranque is walking me around the ship, showing me where everyone is congregating, before we meet up with Marsh, Baltobob, Trisinger, TJ, Ol Don, GC, divvi, folly, bluedaze, Kitty, briegull, Susan L, Lois, Starling, Sandi, Nikki, Bettyhere, Fran, Jane, Weejun, Dee, Charlotte and all the rest of you (it's late and my mind just went blank!) in the hot tubs!
  4.
Don't forget about me..I'm not in the hot tub. I am sitting on top of the frozen margarita machine.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Haven't moved since I boarded. Think I'm 'stuck' to it. (Nancy)
  5.
Oh, Nancy, I'm so sorry! You are walking with phranque and me and carrying your margarita in a jug...... <grin>

    To all cruise ship passengers,

Both my reader and I have been remiss in checking this thread carefully. I checked it this afternoon. It is great fun and a good distraction, but I agree that the inappropriate comments are exactly that - inappropriate for this website. Let's keep the cruise going with lots of fun and phranque's incredibly witty sense of humor, but please do so without the innuendos.

Private e-mail is the way to go if you choose to banter back and forth with those comments. I deleted all of the references to the problem. Please understand that there are consequences to me personally from my host server and advertisers if they find inappropriate content on this site. I signed agreements with all parties that this site did not engage in such content.

Thanks for your cooperation. Now everyone into the ship's swimming pool.

I am adding "off topic" to this thread.

Ship hit a reef and was stuck for awhile, but is now back on course. Captain Phranque is steering us into calm waters where all stressed out passengers can take a break, lie on a deck chair by the pool, soak up some sun, and reeeeeeeeeelax.

Relax those muscles, go for a massage, and then get ready. I think Captain Phranque is going to head the ship on down to Florida and put all passengers to work moving Joan into her new villa.

  6.
Hey...That reef was the Great Barrier Reef, and we were just testing the new glass panelled bottom so anyone could see the bottom without getting into the water.
We're heading back to the US, and all our pool boys are eagerly awaiting our arrival to help Joan move....they are working out by the pool in their off duty hours and should be in great shape...
Be sure to visit the Barbershop quartet lounge.....all drinks are 10 cents......but you have to listen to the singers.....

Sure hope the weather stays cooler - I am tired of these 100+ days in the NW. Let's hope no hurricane or storms when we get near Florida to help Joan move.
  7.
Phranque......I don't think there's anyone else interested in going on a fantasy cruise but me. I have lots of ideas where we could go with everyone in tow......the world is such a big place, with so much to see and do. Even if its only a fantasy. That's as close as I'll ever get to it again.
  8.
Maybe the boat should be abandoned for a while and we can take one of those "deluxe" train trips out west....kind of like the American version of the Orient Espress. Ever heard of it? This could be fun. We could attach some cattle cars to the rear for little kids, pets and our AD spouses. I used to tell my husband that when he got bad enough and he were still able to be home, I'd put him in the horse-trailer and we'd go horseshowing anyhow....I'd just duct tape him in and tell him we were on a plane trip to Paris or something. Told him he'd never know the difference. It was a JOKE then....
  9.
I'm game if an old-fashioned steam engine could do the pulling. Big fan of the age of steam, even tho' they scared the heck out of me when I was a little kid.
  10.
TJ-did you ever put pennies on the track so the train could flatten them. As a little kid I was afraid the pennies would cause the train to derail.
  11.
Never did, bluedaze, but I did hear the same thing...sort of like an urban legend.

We were always told that the pennies could derail the train, but I figure if running over our cats, dog, neighbors cow didn't derail it, a penny or rock wouldn't. It is illegal though to deface money like that. Do we care?? I grew up next to railroad tracks so love trains.
  12.
Charlotte-is that where the term flat iron steaks came from :o)
  13.
I tried putting a penny on the tracks, but the vibration of the train coming bounced it off. I solved that problem by putting it on the track with a piece of chewing gum.

but then did it stick to the train and you lose it, or did you find it?
  14.
I found it, but it was hard getting the gum off the penny.
  15.
Could you still get enough gum to chew??

OH Gross! Can we have a train that takes us around the ship? Maybe thru a Tunnel of Love, he he he!
  16.
This is such a funny thread. I put pennies on the tracks lots of times when Daddy would take me to the railroad station to watch the trains come in and leave. I was also told that they could derail the train unless I put them exactly in the middle of the track. I still remember looking for the penny after the train passed through. A warm memory of times with my Daddy. (I never called him Dad!)
  17.
    TTT...I really missed the boat.....but, it's back.....

Great news! I might not make the real thing in Feb. so it's good to know I can hop aboard this ship anytime I feel the need. Thanks Phranque cs

I'm glad the the fantasy cruise is leaving port again. Where are we heading now, Phranque?

Can you arrange to have more pool boys?
  19.
mary75, you've just GOT to learn to control those hormones!
  20.
International law forbids more than 15 pool boys per person....sorry...You may choose any of the 15 you want, but you must limit it to only 15.

Phranque....I'd like to learn some of those hot latin dances. With an absolutley gorgeous instructor of course. Can you arrange that pretty please? cs
  21.
Does that law mean only 15 pool boys "at a time"????
  22.
No Nancy, the law stipulates only 15 per person....but if you are the only one in the pool, then all of them are available , but only 15 at a time......a fine print in the law, but I was advised that one of our attorneys found a loophole, and will be seeking a viable alternative to the number...meanwhile, I think 15 is plenty, since you can substitute them at will and change them anytime you want...of course, there are still the waiters, valets, busboys, waitresses, pool girls, stewards, and other service personel. It does tend to get to get a bit crowded at times...
CS...the dance instructors feature not only hot latin dances, but many other exotic dances...such as the famous chicken dance (from a So Carolina chicken farmer), KICKER DANCING!!, some Pigmy tribal dances from Borneo, Exotic Hawaiin dances, such as the famous grass skirt fire dance, Columbian Zoomba dances, Eskimo dance lessons (the famous Polar Bear Waltz), Austrialian reptile dances (complete with costumes), Moon Dances with authentic Space Shuttle costumes, and Indian war dances, complete with feather costumes, bows and arrows, and tomohawks. Hopefuly, you will find the instructors gorgeous, but if not there are plenty of pool boys to choose from, and all of them are experts in the dances.
  23.
Just send the fifteen pool boys to my room....I do not intend to CHANGE ANYONE on this darned trip, Phranque. If they make a mess, I'm pushing them overboard.

Any chance of a small club room nearby the pool that features old recordings of New Orleans jazz in the 20's and 30's? I've never been to New Orleans, but picture a bar - dimly-lit, small tables, band's wind instruments gleaming,
I'm thinking of Bunny Berigen: "I Can't Get Started With You", "Blues", "Honeysuckle Rose", and "Swing, Mr. Charlie" just for starters.

From the Salsa dancing I've seen , I say "get a room". Seriously, I'd still love to know how to do it.
  24.
Lots of Salsa dancing in Texas...and it's not like the Brazilian Lambada or Mambo. It's lots of fun, though. Just wonder if - after all these years - I could make it through one number. haha. Ilove watching Dancing With The Stars, and am amazed that they don't have more 'costume malfunctions'. I can't see myself dancing any of those dance routines..omg!
  25.
Nancy, that's not dancing, it's gymnastics!
  26.
Can't you picture all of us out there dancing with them. We'd get down and couldn't get up, our knees would give out - our backs would lock up - and the first time one of us girls would jump up into our guys arms, they'd drop us flat. It would NOT be a pretty picture, no indeed.

i think the cruise line should get advance notice phranque that there will be a need for at least a dozen of the 'lookalike' male dance figures from dancing with the stars to waltz/jitterbug/mambo/tango the ladies around the ship:)

. dont you remember the movie with jack lemon/walter matthau Out TO Sea??? it was just like that!! haha..

i can see our ladies busting loose after a few stiff drinks.. :) including the LIMBO dance you forgot :)! thats always very popular on cruises..

  28.
That was a good movie, divvi....also the 2 Grumpy Old Men movies...gave me a glimpse of what my life is going to be. lol. I loved those two guys...so sad they're both gone now. I hope you all have a good time dancing...I won't be there this year (I mean on the real one).
  29.
Didn't you LOVE Grumpy Old Men. I laughed and laughed at them..I liked the first movie more than the second movie. Yep, all the good actors are dying off. They never used the "F" word and their movies still made lots of money. Imagine that!
