We took a bus trip to NYC Sat. to see the musical Hair. It was fun to see the show again--as a child of the 60's--brought back a lot of memories. One thing that was different--I found myself crying during the song "Easy To Be Hard". Anyone who remembers them will understand--it so describes how insensitive people can be to others' sufferings. I thought about the thread Divvi started on the lack of invitations to do social activities over this weekend (Memorial Day) and so many other disappointments most of us have had with friends' and family's reactions. If anyone wants to Google it to see the lyrics, the group Three Dog Night made it a hit back then.
Marilyn quite a shocker to hear words that rings so true these days? huh? love 3 Dog Night. might as well throw in the song 'One is the lonliest number that you'll ever do,two can be as bad as one, its the lonliest number since the number one".... this one too hits the mark dont you think? glad you got to the play, but its bittersweet -divvi
So glad you got to see Hair..one of my favorites as well! While the 2 songs mentioned will do it...when Tom wants to listen to the Brightman and Bocelli album must leave the room when "Time to Say Goodbye" plays...
Come on, doneit, don't disappoint me. You can do it. I'm pullin' for you.
That is Sarah and Andrea (sp?) you're talking about, right scs and divvi? I love their voices...so talented. Do you like Il Divo? So much better than the American Idol tripe that the great unwashed worship! Oh well, that's what I get for majoring in music for two of the five yrs of college.
