Know the 10 Signs hits the airwaves

Our new Know the 10 Signs campaign highlights early detection and early diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease, which give people the power to make choices about their own health and future. The 10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer's are featured this week in a three-part "CBS Early Show Healthwatch" report. Our awareness efforts included Association supporters and senior staff talking to Katie Couric on the set of "The CBS Evening News" (left) about the importance of early detection and early diagnosis.

If you go to the cbs.com you can watch the segments part 1 & 2. I have yet to go alzheimer association site and see all 10. there are also some ads they are placing where people hold signs that say something like I can't remember where I am, etc.

I think one of the 10 signs should be repeating or asking repeatedly but it is not.

If you go to my homepage - www.thealzheimerspouse.com- and look in the middle of the page under DAILY NEWS UPDATE, you will find the link to the written section. I was not able to find the video on the CBS website.

I've only seen one of the ads, and I've seen it more than once. The one I saw was the one with the keys in the refrigerator. My husband did things like that only not with the keys. I'd find his work out towel and gloves in a kitchen cabinet, or the clean plastic containers in a drawer in the refrigerator.

The caregiver husband tells his wife it is going to be OK, and all I could think was poor guy, he doesn't know just how bad it is going to get, not for her, for HIM.
