I am so tired today. DH, who has a fractured pelvis, has been sleeping in the twin bed in the guest room. It's easier for him to move around in etc. last night, just as I fell asleep (of course) he came in because he was lonely. Well, he managed to get into our bed, but couldn't get comfortable. I had just bought him a recliner, but it was in the guest room. he decided to go to the living room, by this time it's 2am. I get him comfortable, and then I can't go back to sleep, Around 4 I finally dozed off, only to be awaikened by the workers who came early to install a new air conditioning system for me at 7am. Now it's 10, they are working, I am dressed, can hardly see the screen and DH who was up all night is comfortably ensconsed in the living room in a chair with of course the dog at his side. I have to stay up because of the workmen, who are doing me a favor by doing this on a Sunday. and then we are heading to my daughter's for the week. It'll give me a little respite, staying with her. At least I'll have company. But I have to drive, and I'm so tired. I've already had 3 cups of coffee. Oh well, that's the beauty of being a caretaker.

How long is the drive to your daughter's? Please take you time and drive carefully. There's a lot of nuts out on the roads. Enjoy your visit.

I agree with Carolyn - be careful. And remember, as the ad for the Ford truck puts it: It's not just crazy out there, it's certifiably insane.

OK, saved by the flu. My daughter just called to say her daughter has a fever etc, not a place for Papa to be, especially with his resistance down. so I'm going to take a nap. TV is not working, cable box is out, what else can happen today???

Oh, Chris, I'm so sorry you can't make the trip. But it's better you found out before you left rather than after you arrived.

Hope your day begins to get better!
