I have not ever started a discussion so was not sure how to post this.

I am wondering about Sandi's husband and the aspiration pneumonia. How is he Sandi? I may have missed your post about his condition. I am wondering about both of you at this time.

Well, he is really well....the Home Health nurse is amazed that someone who has been bedridden for over four years could fight off the pneumonia. He had a few bad days and I truly thought he would die, but he is one tough cookie. Who knows? It could all change tomorrow. This roller coaster ride is truly unbelievable.

So, at the present time we are back to whatever normal is these days....thanks for asking!

    Sandi,
Is he completely over the pneumonia? I did not realize a person could treat aspiration pneumonia even if they wanted to. Of course in your situation I would not choose to treat but I thought that type pneumonia was self destructive. I do not know much when it comes to clinical things. I am trying to learn. Business was always my thing and I am lost to most of the things this disease hands me.

Jane, the nurse says his lungs are clear....I don't understand it all either, but it is not the first time that the "pros" thought he was on his way out and he rallies. He is one tough dude....LOL! He continues to amaze all of us....
