Since there are so few cute commercials, I want to nominate my favorite.
Burger King has my vote. They have little bitty cowboys riding little bitty horses, herding little bitty cattle.... promoting their little bitty sirloin burgers. The song is cute and it always makes me smile.
I just smile at the Carnival Cruise Line commercial where at the end they play part of Anchors Aweigh where the last note is the ship's horn. It tickles me. But I like yours, too.
I don't know what it's advertising, but I like the one where the man is trying to figure out what a light switch operates. He flips the switch over and over and asks his wife if anything happened. The picture goes to a neighbor trying to drive into her garage, but the door keeps going up and down.
The AFLAC duck is really cool. I particularly enjoyed him when he was licking envelopes and got his bill stuck on them. What kind of a mind thinks these things up?
I suppose I like the Geico gecko. On the other hand, some ads really get to me; the ones showing couples enjoying themselves on a tropical beach or on a cruise, and I know my wife and I will never do that again.
I like all the animal commercials but my favorite is the Budweiser horse and dog team. The one at the Derby Saturday had the dalmatian chasing a stick, and the horse sees it, and comes back carrying basically a whole tree!! Of course, I don't know anything about the beer...!
I always sing along to" There ain't no bugs on me"........... I want my dog to watch, but he's not interested. Cute little dogs on that commercial. Probably that's why he's not interested.
I like 'ain't no bugs on me' and the kid in the highchair who talks about investing & on the cell phone--gets a call from his girlfriend--the thing is, I remember the commercials, but rarely the products.
"Double your pleasure, double your fun, with Doublemint, Doublemint, Doublemint gum"
There are about 100 more, but I need to get back to work!!!! The oldies are still good... I DO love that little lab with "ain't no bugs on me" and the ALFLAC duck...and the one where the mouse, cat and dog together manage to get the guy to spill his dinner, and when he goes to get a rag, they eat it all! My all time favorite is the Budweiser Clydesdale commercials....the one mentioned above is darling, as is the one where they play football, but my favorite is where the little one tries to pull the wagon by himself, and it looks like he's doing it, but unbeknownst to him, there are four or five big guys pushing from behind!
The guy with the banjo is for freecreditreport.com - only problem is, it is not free. You have to subscribe to the triple advantage to get your free credit report. Which by the way is free once a year anyway. Hate these deceiving commercials.
Love Clydesdale aka Budweiser commercials. Rainier Beer use to have some real cute ones. I think it was TV Land that use to run a program of the best old commercials. Really enjoyed seeing them. About Brylcreem a little dab will do you......
For old time ads, I liked the signs along the roads for Burma Shave, particularly the one that read: If you don't know who's signs these are you can't have traveled very far. (no Burma Shave at end)
Qwest............... Parents making their adolescent sit in high chair and stand in crib. The boy says, "why am I standing in this crib? My parents are trying to recreate my baby pictures all because Dad's laptop fell in the fish tank. Dad never backed up my baby pictures." (something like that) Next you see the kid in the tub and Mom saying, "take a picture with the ducky." Then the kid, appearing about 9 or 10 years old now, gets embarrassed and puts his hand up to block the camera shot. I just think the kid did a superb acting job.
My favorite of all time was the "Got Milk" commercial where to two space men came to earth in search of the "magic white liquid (milk)" that solved all kinds of problems. They landed near a Dairy ( written on the side of the barn) and immediately called the cow inside " Di eiry" They tried all kinds of bribes to get milk and finally ended up taking Di eiry back to their home planet where she was revered as a god.
