Hi friends...Today John had blood in his urine. A short time later he threw up then his temp went to 103.2. He has been given antibiotics tylenol and a chest x-ray. I left the home at 8 because they promised they would call about test results or any changes. He was feeling better and looking better when I left. Pray that it's a uti and not something more serious. Thanks cs

Oh cs...I will keep you and John in my prayers. Even though a uti is bad enough, I hope that is all it is as they can treat that fairly simply. Please keep us posted...!Di

Hi everyone, the news is good. fever is gone, chest x-ray negative. Still a small amount of blood in urine probably from his pt/inr being too high and a uti. He was so good this morning he was able to keep a dental appointment to recement the bridge that came out during the gi scope. Now his grin really is ear to ear.
Cute story from last night. When John was so feverish our son and I were standing at the foot of his bed. One lady resident came and stood in the doorway and ever so slowly worked her way into the room and sat in the chair next to his bed. Next another lady resident in a wheelchair worked her way to the side of his bed. Neither of these ladies said a word. My son and I used facial expressions only to show our amazment. Then my son said very quietly, "Mom this is nothing, there are two more waiting outside!" How wonderful is it that four people who no longer can communicate somehow knew how sick my husband was and just wanted to be near him? I'm not very religious but there are things going on I can't explain. Thanks for your prayers hugs and goodt thoughts. cs

cs, that is amazing, about the ladies in the nh. It gave me chills. Also, it reminds us that even if we aren't always there, they are never totally alone! How precious is that.

Oh cs, this is a great post, Great news. I am so amazed about the angels who are looking out for him. We are never alone even though we sometimes feel that we are. Hope you have a great restful weekend. Phyllis
