I don't know how many of you have to help your spouse with going to the bathroom, but I do. I am grateful that he can still go and I don't have diapers yet. Going out is always a problem as many places do not have generic or family bathrooms. This really limits what we can do. Even the senior center does not have one so we can't go there anymore either. I suggested that they add one when it is redone. I also suggested this type of bathroom to our pastor when building our new church. Sometimes I take hubby in our transport chair and getting the doors open is also a challenge plus getting over the lip. Then too there is only one bar to hold onto so it is difficult for him to get up once he is down.
Brindle - I brought the discussion related to your question up to the top for you to read. It is - "How do you handle bathroom breaks in public?" You can also do a "search" at the top of this page. Type in "bathroom". Make sure the "topic" circle is filled in, and hit "search". There are quite a few bathroom topics.
