I'm down today. Looking for uplifting or confirming or funny thoughts (in addition to religious) to raise my spirits today.
You gain strength, courage, & confidence by every experience by which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, I lived through this horror I can take the next thing that comes along. - Eleanor Roosevelt
Zibby - last week my granddaughter went to school with cold in her eye (they now call it eye boogers). the teacher told her it looked like she had pink eye then asked if her eye itched. To that my 5 year old granddaughter who loves pink promptly answered - yes! She wanted pink eyes and thought if she answered her eyes itched they would turn pink!!! Out of the mouth of babes! When my dil told me all I could do was laugh.
Her mom had to take time off from work to take her to the doctor to get a note that it was just 'eye boogers', took her back to school and stuck it in the teachers face. These teachers (head start) have no brains and have no idea what they are referring to half the time. They force the kids to go out and play in the rain where they get soaked even with raincoats, then can't understand why they get sick.
Zibby-some days are just like that-plain and simple. All we can hope for is a better tomorrow. Once when I hit bottom I noticed my magnolia tree in full bloom. To me that was a promise that a higher power was still with me.
Thanks for sharing Charlotte and bluedaze. Spring and a couple warm days have brought the farmers and equipment to the fields around us--like bugs coming out of the woodwork:)
