History: In the last 4 months our Caseworker/nurse has done two quarterly updates on our cases, including weighing DH, and checking both our BPs and heart rates. Th first time she just noted my heart rate was low. couple weeks ago she made a point to tell me to check it with the Dr. at my physical later this month. I didn't need to rush because there are no other symptoms. Then last Weds.-Thurs. started seeing symptoms. Getting scarry. I asked Nancy B if she had any ideas how serious this could be since she has some knowledge of this kind of stuff. She said to get to the Dr.; it could mean a pacemaker. Someone else chimed in on the same thread and said the same: "Get thee to the Dr. posthaste." SAW THE DR. TODAY. Symptoms are Spring Allergies starting to kick up. Never had them in Spring before.
As for heart rate--a side effect of my BP med. I've been in the mid to high 40's for the last 5 years. Probably my sedentary lifestyle contributes. I'm "NORMAL" for me.
That's great. Normally such a low pulse would be a problem, altho if it's your normal rate, maybe not. Lately I've been getting short of breath and because of my father & sister having had angina, etc my doc sent me to a cardiologist. Seems it's just growing older, plus a few other genetic things, but heart is good, thankfully. Just good to set your mind at ease, but no way I can leap up stairs. I'm also very sedentary, just the way it is.
