I have been giving dh 1/3 cup (5 1/3 T) of MCT Fuel for about 3 months. We have seen improvement and are very grateful. The problem is that for the last 3 nights his mind has been racing - therefore he gets a lousy nights sleep. Anyone else have this problem? Suggestions?

Martha, 1/3 cup of MCT fuel sounds like quite a lot -- a good bit more than the rest of us are using and more than what our "research expert" Sunshyne has recommended. I don't know whether you can overdose on it or not.

I don't know how big a bottle you are talking about, but you can check this out - http://astore.amazon.com/wwwthealzheim-20/search?node=3&keywords=MCT+oil&preview=

Martha, another lady was in touch with me about a similar issue but with coconut oil. He was having vivid dreams that he did not like. She was giving her husband some of the oil late in the evening as "fudge." She decided to make the last "dose" around 6 p.m. Another lady's spouse was getting up and walkgin around at night very confused, more so than in the daytime. She started giving him melatonin which seems to be helping with sleep. The doses I have seen of this are 3 and 6 mg.

    Marynewport -

We have recently run out of melatonin. I wonder if that is part of it. I have been giving him the full dosage in the morning - he found it was not as effective for him when split up. Today he chose not to have any MCT Fuel. He said he could feel the difference, but the day wasn't too bad. We'll see if he sleeps tonight. He wanted a half dose tomorrow. We'll see how that works too.

    Thank you!
