What a blessing you all are! I have learned so much so fast that will greatly help us in this journey...I really do THANK GOD for all of you and for Joan for putting up this website. You all are just fabulous!

    Many big hugs...

Of course we're wonderful and incredible. We're all caregivers overcoming all obstacles. We leap tall buildings in a single bound. We share and learn from each other. It's amazing how much you can care about and love people you will probably never meet.

I, too, am amazed at the caring and love we have for each other ...people we will probably never meet. The support I got from all of you during my husband's heart attack and the horrible hospital stay was so comforting.

Yes, this is an incredible group! Such love and caring and as Dazed said - people we will probably never meet. More support here from family most of the time!

I'm getting to meet one in April! She posted w/ her email, desperate, and turns out she has a home here that she rents out & her son lives here. We are both into metaphysics, and am looking forward to meeting her. Small world. Her husband has AD & it is tough going. I can walk to her house!

    Bluedaze, you crack me up.

Dam right we are awesome. I do believe we all deserve honorary MD's for all of the knowledge we are forced to aquire during this most horrendous phase of our lives. One month into this and I already know WAY MORE THAN I EVER WANTED ABOUT FTD.
If I can't find an answer, all I have to do is post a question or do a search, and there it is, like magic only with love and compassion and some much needed humor. I love you all!

I'm not going for an honorary MD but I am seriously thinking I might qualify for a Financial Analyst or something.

We are all wonderful, spectacular people. Just reading through these posts and all that we do. One woman even did some plumbing. What a gal. Fabulous people. I have learned so much from this group. If we put it all down on paper, we could probably get some kind of a degree.

And, Marisa--you are wonderful, too. That's a fact! And you should remember that. :) XOXO

You know what I have come to think? I think that we are all angels put here, regardless of our wants, to help guide our lo's spirit. An honorable and loving calling.....M

Hi-Fives to everyone here who tackles the job of caring for a loved one with any form of dementia. its an exhausting, relentless, unappreciated, overwhelming job- i admire each of you for having the guts to accept the challenge, and when it becomes excessive and devastatingly difficult, you remain determined and steadfast in your committment to meet the challenges head on. big round of applause!! divvi

i have often thought i was put on this earth to be a caregiver to my loved ones. once upon a time my children, now my dear husband. some days i think i can't go on,but something keeps me going. i know i have to keep on,there is no one else but my daughter, that helps me and she can't do it alone. this site has been a lifesaver to me more times than i can mention. i don't know what i would do without all of you. i don't get to post as much anymore, but i still do whrn i get a chance. god bless you all. jav
