I don't know if anyone has noticed lately, but the blogs have NOT had the little "printer friendly" icons on them since January. I have many, many requests for printer friendly versions from owners of ALF's and support group leaders, whose clients are not computer savvy.
Joel had been doing it for me from his computer, as I did not have the patience to follow his 30 step direction sheet. When he was here in January, he gave me a "short cut" direction list, which I followed faithfully, and got the same result each time - nothing. By the end of January, I gave up, and started archiving the blogs without the printer friendly icon.
Yesterday, I spoke to him, and finally remembered to tell him that his directions didn't work. He said to me - "Oh, yeah. I meant to tell you - I think we left out an important step." And I said, - "Well, DUH!"
Soooo, as soon as he sends me the new improved set of steps, the blogs will be printer friendly again. :)
Hear me JOEL....All of us, including your Mom, need EVERY little step outlined..., with pictures if possible, if ever we are to make these computers work. I prefer ICONS and hyperlinks, actually! :-)
How is it that even pre-schoolers can figure out how to open links and search the internet...and I can't "cut and paste" most of the time.
I hate being so inept - it's just a little "typewriter!" ...or not!
