Om March 28 our community is having the Alzheimer's walk. It will be held where our Joan lives. I will not be on her team as the ALF where Bill lives is also sponsoring a team. My daughter is flying in to walk with me. Joan and I are not competing. We are both working to get donations to lick this horrible disease. This is the first time I have ever reached out to many people I know for donations.
i was wondering if they'd let Joan RIDE around the track? Joan needs to rest up, and I thought a transportable wheel chair with a Younger person pushing,... or borrow a scooter for the trek. I recently purchased a Transportable wheel chair so I could get out and walk (for myself) and push DH along as we go. It's great...and easy to push. We hook our little Havanese dog's leash to the arm rest, and awaaaaay we go. Quite a sight. Joan, give yourself a break. Maybe you could have a little toy drum to beat as you ride around! You'd get much more attention that way! :-)
