While reading so many of your posts this week, I started noticing that a lot of words that start with the letter S, are extremely important to the caregiver and our LO's. I thought I might start a list and see where we can go.

    Keep it Simple Stupid!
Safety is oh so important. We need to Safe proof our homes to protect our LO
We need Strength to be Strong in taking care of our LO. Strong mentally and physically.
Our Spiritual Strength will be very helpful to most of us.
But, a little Sleep and Snoozing will help renew our Strength. Also makes me Snack better. Helps us keep our Spirits up.

Gotta go for now. Add any S_ words you thought of. Bill

    Silly, sobering,selfish,solace

being silly when we need uplifting from a hard day.

a sobering thought, some AD patients live more than 20yrs.

we need to be selfish sometimes for our own health and needs

solace in finding friends who are in the same boat and understand our plight.

Secrets, secluded, swearing, scary, sanity, spouse, sustain, survive

The secrets we tell each other here that no one else would understand.

Being secluded in our caregiving for our spouse.

Swearing when the day is long and things go wrong.

The scary things that our lo's do, say and see.

    Our sanity at risk.

Can we sustain and survive the amount of time we are needed by our lo's.

Carol likes Simple things like Shopping, SightSeeing likes Soft embraces. I like that too!

I'm Scrapbooking this weekend to put my pictures and mementos together to help my husband remember our caregiver cruise.

I am also Selecting the pictures to include, which was hard, so I'm using all of them!

I'm Scrubbing the house when I finish the scrapbook.

I'm Sneaking out to lunch tomorrow with my girl friend I've had from the third grade!

I'm Singing praises of my daughter and grandson for helping me care for my husband.

And my husband has been Snoozing in his chair while I've been printing the pictures!

I just hope that there are no Snafus this weekend!

    Its....Super-Cali-Fragil-istic-espi-ali-docious.
Even though the sound of it is something quite atrosious.
If you say it loud enough you'll always sound precosious.

OK!!! I've had a lot of fun. I hope you did also. We can all agree that it takes a lot of S- words to describe the life of a Caregiver.
