The hospice nurse told me today Claude probably has about 10 days to 2 weeks before he passes away. Even tho we knew it was coming and thought we were prepared, we're no where near ready for it.

Our hospice has been wonderful the last three months. We talked about hospice 10 years ago when my brother-in-law had hospice. We both decided that when our time came, we wanted to die peacefully at home.

It's been a long, hard six years since he was first diagnosed. Unfortunately we have no choice for when our bodies choose to fail us.

Thank y'all so much for your kind thoughts and prayers.

Claude passed away this morning at 3:30AM. I was with him and it was a very peaceful passing.

I feel numb and I don't think it has fully hit me yet. I come from a long line of women survivors so will make it.

I'll be back later. Thanks again.

    Mary
