The cruise sounds like it would be fun and informative. My problem is I have no desire to be on a boat that I can't get off of whenever I want. Have a thing about peirs (sp?) moving that make my kids hysterical :) too
You have a LOOOOOONGGG wait for pictures of me in a bikini. I'm not sure I'm even going to bring a bathing suit. Last time I went to the pool here in our development, which was about 2 weeks ago, I didn't take off my bathing suit cover up. :(
Although I was thinking of doing some snorkeling, and I haven't figured out how to do that in my clothes. :)
Don't worry about your figures ladies!!! We are all "hot" because we are caring people, even if we don't always feel too caring! I am proudly bringing my bikini on the cruise, and I will be very upset if I am the only one at the pool in one! Come on, we probably won't ever see any of these people again anyway! ha-ha
I hope everyone going on the cruise has a wonderful time. I will be thinking of you. Please post and let us know how it went when you return. Yes, wear your bikinis!
I'll take one of Joan and Julie, and let my daughter take one of me....(Joan and Julie - note I didn't say what we would be wearing in those photos!) <grin>
Last time I wore a two piece bathing suit was a hot day years ago when I needed to do some weed wacking. I put on my boots and went to work. Unfortunately, I wacked some poison oak - well, you get the picture! Made me so mad at my stupidiy that I refused to scratch!
I have been like a fish in the summertime all of my life, and my kids as well. We spent most summer days at the pool for at least an hour if not half a day. And never as an adult have I owned a two piece swimsuit! These last three years I haven't gotten in the water a half dozen times......AD took something else away...
Due to the economic conditions, a lot of people canceled, so there will be no where near that number. Monday night at dinner we will meet one another. Our tables are all together. Check your cruise envelope. Patrick listed the Caregiver events. Tuesday morning is Dr. Teena Cahill's Welcoming Keynote - she is a dynamic, funny, informative speaker. There are optional caregiver support meetings each morning and evening, and I will be giving a talk on Wednesday morning. On Friday afternoon, Rausa McManus will be giving a talk.
Although my talk is listed on the sheet as - "Communication", the actual title is "HUH????? Effective Strategies for Communicating with an Alzheimer's Loved One." It is fun and interactive.
