Last night my parents called to see if they could come and visit me and my husband.....I guess it is because the other day I went to see them to tell them everything concerning my DH's condition..They were stunned they knew he was sick but they would say to me "he doesn't look sick". Well I told my hubby they were going to drop by for a few. He came down and spoke ,told my dad he has a beautiful wife and then he just left the room and never came back. He would have never done this to my parents..he has always show love and concern for both of them because of my father's illness,also they live far away. They stayed for about 1 hour and decided to go home, since they could feel it may not have been a good idea.What makes them just totally act out of character. All this time he has always put himself together to sit and talk and try to act ok especially when it comes to my parents.
FTD you probably already know the answer. Your husband is probably at that aweful stage where he knows he can't hold a conversation any longer. The visit was just too much for him. Think of it as an honor to your parents. He thinks too much of them to appear as sick as he is.
