Our sno has stopped I think. Our power has been off for 30 minutes. I am on battery computer which will die in about 20 minutes and I will start having withdrawal pains.

Snow in So. KY has stopped, now temp is falling and it will all turn to ice! Happy days.

Snow is falling in Maine. We are predicted for up to 9 inches. At least no suggestion of ice, so far.

I successfully cleared the back porch and steps of 8 inches of snow so the dog could go out. While pondering how I could clear the front, not have a heart attack and keep DW inside, I looked out the front window. My neighbor was just finishing clearing the walk and my drive way. It's good to live in a neighborhood with good neighbors.

Amen to good neighbors. Have not had to shovel snow or mow the lawn since Charlie became too ill to do it ( 2 summers and 2 winters). Don't know what I would do without them. We had 3 inches of snow yesterday morning, too much ice last night (any is too much) freezing rain this morning and snow again this afternoon. The only thing we did not have was warm air and sunshine.

WV - our electric was off all evening and came on sometime in the middle of the night. I have an oil lamp so I was able to read but DH could do nothing so went to bed at 7. We take out utilities for granted until we lose them and then - ugh-

DIL and Granddaughter are visiting her Dad near Fort Lewis, Arkansas. She sent some wild pics of the snow and ice. HEE HEEEE! She thought she was escaping the cold, the wet, and the icy here in the NW. The day she flew from here we were in the low 30's at noon. It was 65 in Fort Lewis same day. Thank God my GD has cousins there who are same approx age and size. Got a picture of GD in a pretty pink snow suit playing with her cousins in the snow.

New Realm, it sounds like today is a better day for you! I hope so! Northwest Arkansas is without power for the most part from the ice and snow. We have a new member here from Eureka Springs. I wonder if she has had her power restored!

We escaped with only really cold (for us) temperatures! (I keep saying "a week and two days" - then I'll be in 75 degree temperatures!!!!!!!) <grin>

Wow - here in the NW we have had 2 days with tomorrow being the 3rd, where it is sunny and in the 70s. :-)

Unfortunately the cool wet weather returns on Wednesday. :-(

Oh well, will take what we can get.

Yeah, here in our little NW town it was 76 by 7 pm. Our home faces due west, and we hit our high temps in the evenings, 6-7 pm. What a beautiful day.
It seemed so bizarre to me that we had such beautiful weather the past two days......yet yesterday two REALLY BIG Opening Day baseball games had to be postponed due to weather problems. That really sucks for the fans who've been waiting all these months for the favorite American pass time to start up again.

and boy DID it rain here in RI, just south of the Boston game. At least they called it early so not too many people went to the stadium. But it was just POURING all day.

Remember, April showers bring May flowers (if we don't get more snow)

I heard there is frost warning as far south as Florida! It is spring and unpredictable or is this global warming?? :-)

Here in KY it was 80 deg., then got severe thunderstorms, and temp dropped to 30 deg. last night! Now it's snowing! Guess that will be the end of my flowers that were blooming!

Actually, I'm living in Pennsylvania and it has been in the 30s and 40s all day. No frost warnings as far as I know. This is actually pretty normal for this area and all the weather people have been talking about how the ups and downs of the temperature range is normal March and April weather. So it isn't global warming OR unpredictable. They haven't had any problems predicting it. <grin>

Well, yesterday was beautiful and today is cloudy - it rained last night. The resident rooster was outside our window 'yacking' for about an hour. He is by himself so me thinking mommy is setting on eggs again. Last year we had 6 babies and 2 still survive. These are colorful chickens that showed up a couple years ago. They now wander the yards of us and two neighbors along with the 2 guinea hens that another neighbor left cause he couldn't catch them in our little wildlife refuge in the middle of the city.

Tomorrow we are suppose to have a warm-up with getting up to 80 on Monday. We so like the sunshine over the clouds. That was the hardest part coming back from Nevada last winter.

    Come on sunshine and warmth!!!

It's a beautiful, glorious day in southern KY, sun is shining, 74 degrees! Thought DH and I could go for a long walk. NOT. He never naps during the day - but what's he doing now? You got it - he's taking a nap.

    Charlotte,

Where do you live? It is SNOWING BIG TIME in Denver - and it's the middle of APRIL. I do love living in Florida. Don't miss Boston weather one single bit.

Currently in Vancouver, WA. We came back here cause we like and trust the VA doctors here more than in Vegas.

My hb grew up in Wilmington, MA. He does not miss the people or weather there.
