Anyone hear or use Cognisure? It is a natural supplement and from the post I read on other sites it has helped many people improve. I just ordered some tonight for my dh. I will be sure to keep posted what results we see. One of the post was a lady whose husband was also on galantamine. He was steady on it then went downhill. After being on the Cognisure he improved, so we will see. We are open to trying anything.
FYI - We saw the Geriactric Neurologist today. He actually did better on his test than last February. Where we couldn't get anything from the neurologist in Nevada, here we did get something to go on. He was diagnosed with MCI which, due to family history, could advance to Alzheimer. Right now I am concentrating on the just the MCI diagnosis to get him to focus on the positive. He was told to keep doing his Word Search and any other activity that creates new brain cells. The resident who did the testing was very positive about the supplements I have him all - fish oil, CoQ10, L-Carnityne, Vit E, C, B12, Magnesium, cinnamon, red yeast rice (cholesterol).
Charlotte, we gave Cognisure a try--probably about 6 months. I also took it myself to see if I could notice any changes in my cognitive abilities. I didn't feel that it was making any difference for either one of us, so I discontinued it. Just like you, we also use a lot of supplements.
I do feel, however, that the MCT oil is helping and we are continuing with that.
