It is so sad our LOs and us have to experience AD but we can only hold on to these precious moments and thank GOD for their love we are able to share. Lots of hugs to both of you.

That is definately true love pushing through AD. It is just another one of those precious moments that we cling to and like Pat said "Thank God for their love we are able to share".

My LO no longer says much, but, yesterday when he held my hand, I could also see that Love and Intensity pushing through those big brown eyes when he looked at me. He tried to say "I Love You", but, it did not come out, but, I did hear the word "Love" very clearly. So deep down inside and fighting through this AD, I do know what he was trying to say. I gave him a big kiss and told him I also Love him very much. He just smiled that sweet smile he has always had.

Many thanks Joan, for you and this site. It also has helped me through many a tough day and night just knowing other people out there are facing the same thing my husband and I are facing. Also, just being able to read what others experience and gain knowledge and understanding through this has helped me tremendously. It is so nice to actually have someone else that truly understands how tough AD really is. I feel I have many friends on this site that I can share things with and also learn from them. Take Care

You are so blessed that he could talk about what he was feeling. My husband won't even acknowledge he has a problem so talking about it is not an option. If we do get into a discussion about his memory it only leads to anger on his part and sadness on mine. AD is so hard.

I have to add a funny story that happened a couple of months ago. My LO and I were in bed watching TV and holding hands. We were both in our underwear. He turned to me and asked, "You will be leaving before my wife comes home, won't you?" You gotta laugh sometimes.
Yes, you do, Bebe...and I have some really great memories of the funny things my husband said and did. Somehow you have to look for the good "stuff"'s what keeps us going.
