Hi All, The grand rounds at Columbia have a video lecture you can see about MCI and Alzs that your might find helpful. Look for it at near the bottom of the page. Keep up the good work. TD
OK, watched it. Very interesting. Also watched "Axis of evil in late-life: depression, vascular disease and cognitive impairment" ... somewhat depressing, but also quite interesting. :-)
Hi All ...I am glad you enjoyed the grand round lecture on alz onset. I am a caregiver of a son who has had schizophrenia for 10 years. One of my friend's father has Alzs and I help her as much as I can. I have noticed lately a few concerning cognitive changes in my own DH and that is why I came here to read. I share with all of you the challenges of caretaking someone you love who is suffering. It helps me to read about your journey and if you went to schizophrenia.com you might be surprised to find in the parents caretaking forums a group of caregiver soulmates. Most people have a weak understanding of schizophrenia and don't realize that problems with working memory are quite common in the illness. Thank You for all the wonderful sharing of your experiences.
Welcome td and thanks for sharing. There are a number of incurable illnesses and diseases that would try the patience of a Saint. Each has its own problems. I hope your DH is not coming down with this. I wish you well with your son.
