Now that the rain has turned to snow, does anyone have any special winter dressing ideas? -----Strange how a change of season can show the decline of this monster disease. Yesterday, my husband couldn't remember how to put on gloves. Of course, we could go with mittens, but I have a feeling that will be difficult as well. Perhaps we just need to plan extra time for dressing? Perhaps teaching the puppy NOT to chew on winter clothing would help as well! :)
My granddaughter moved to Vermont this year. She has never been in more than a foot of snow and people tell us they had 193" last year in the area she lives in.
If your husband is at the point where he does not know how to dress himself, I would guess that it doesn't matter which season it is, and your first idea is most likely the best - extra time for you to help him.
Hope you don't mind me adding a little humor to this, but remember when we got the kids all layered up with sweaters, snowsuits, boots, hats, and mittens, and THEN they said they had to go to the bathroom? Just a reminder to get that business taken care of before the layering. :)
I'm hoping I will have less of a problem as the weather cools... my husband has been VERY insistent on wearing sweatshirts when we're going for a walk, and the temperature is in the 90's. Although of course, last year, I had to coax and beg to get him to put on a jacket to go outside when the temperature was in the 40's...
