    Kadee, guess I got on the list just in time to be removed. My DH passed away almost one year ago.
    I just turned 67 and DH was 79 at the time of his death.

    That is interesting Briegull. I would be interested in seeing the ages of our spouse's that have ALZ. I noticed that many of the ladies on here are much younger than their husbands. My Wife is 58 now. She was diagnosed at 56 and the doctor said she was well into the disease already. I just didn't know it was something that people that age got. I had no clue.

    Kathryn is older than me by a month and a day most of the year.
    On Oct 25th she becomes a year older for a month and a day.
    I tell her that on Oct. 25 2011 she will be a decade older then me for a month and a day.

    That still makes her laugh.

    M<y wife was diagnosed at 65 but showed symptoms for a couple of years before that right now she's 67 I'm 73

    Ahem, I suppose I've been in a different age bracket now since I dove into 70s a couple months ago. That's where hb's been for 3 years.

    Rick was diagnoised in 2007 at the age of 53. He's 56 now and I'm 53.

    My husband was just dx in Feb of this year. He is 59 and I am 51. We have a 14 year old daughter still at home, she brings so much joy to me just when I need it most. I have been coming here for the last 4 1/2 months and would not have made it this far without your help. Thank you everyone for being here.

    I thought I responded to this previosuly but did not find my response. I was 57 when DH was diagbosed with FTD and am now 59. DH was 58 and now 60.

    I'll keep the ball rolling....I recently turned 56, DH is 59. He's been officially dx'd with probable FTD for 3 years-had symptoms for much longer.

    I'm 61 DH is 63. dx'd with early dementia in 2006. Has progresed, but refuses to go back to neurologist. he is definitley in stage 5.

    As we discussed before many of the older caregivers aren't using computers. That may be a reason the the ages are so young

    Interesting data. I'm 49 and have been caregiving 6 years. My life partner was diagnosed at 58 and just died 10/10/10 at 63.

    I am 80. Had to give up and place DH in July 2010. He was first put in a "skilled nursing unit" but now he has been moved to a dementia unit. Really much better for him. I visit every day.
