    This is a book written by Maria Shriver. One of my daughters is a therapeutic program consultant for a large nursing home chain. She showed me this book which is very helpful in explaining this disease to small children. Hope this helps some of you.

    I told my daughter about this book a couple of days ago. My 7 year old grandson is having a hard time, and I think he has figured out something is wrong, but not what it is. When I was 7 I figured out that my father, who had died when I was 4 years old, was never coming back and why. I didn't have anyone to talk to about it, and had to handle the whole thing by myself. Not good.

    Thank you for telling me this is a good book. I'll pass that on.

    Thank you for posting this. I have a 3 year old grand daughter and 18 month grandson that will grow up seeing their grandpa decline. I had wondered how we were going to help them through this.
