I am new to this great place and in just a few days a whole new world has opened up to me and has been such a comfort and wealth of information and understanding for this terrible world we must live in called Alzheimers. My problem is that so many who post their discussions use initials or abbreviations and I can figure most of them out but not others. Where do they come from and is there a list somewhere.......or do we just have to try and guess what they mean. Maybe I am the only one out of all of us who has this problem. I hope not.....but maybe. Help.

Welcome Anitalynn, go to this site's homepage and scroll wayyy down and on the left side you will see "web abbreviations" click on that and that should help immensely. Yes I had the same problem and this web site founder discovered our caregivers confusion and added that guide to her site. Good Luck and again, Welcome, glad you found us..

Glad you found this website. It has been a comfort to me and many others. I am going to put a discussion "What are the Age groups" to the top. If you feel comfortable, you can share.

If you think this site is bad, try reading a bunch of the posts on the Alzheimer Association website. Foreign language time.

Two sites for general acronyms commonly used on the web, which contain everything used on AD sites plus a whole bunch more:

    http://www.webacronyms.com/

    http://www.netlingo.com/
