Just wanted to tell you that I am keeping up with reading the posts, but my time is limited so I am not doing much posting. School started last week and it is so good to be back. I contacted an agency that sent me a wonderful caregiver. I was a little nervous last week because hubby was not very cooperative, but even though the caregiver is young..only 25 she is so patient and said to give him time. This week is much better I am happy to say. He is letting her do some personal care and seems much more comfortable. It is expensive...$18 an hour. I wish she were getting the whole thing, but I know the agency needs to make a profit. Oh yea she also dusts, vaccums, and does laundry. Today she mopped the floor!!! So right now things are going great. In October we will be eligible to apply for a grant that I used last year when hubby was in daycare. This will help with the cost for awhile. I am still waiting to hear about financial aid and/or nursing home placement from the veterans. I just wanted to update you all on what's happening here.
