JOAN’S WEEKEND BLOG – AUGUST 18 -19, 2007 – NEW WEBSITE FEATURES AND A LITTLE RELATIONSHIP REPAIR

I don’t usually write on Saturday, but yesterday morning, my son taught me how to handle a bit of this technology by myself. I want to update you on some of this websites new features:

  • Printer Friendly version now available – If you look at the end of the Blogs that are below this one, you will see a “Printer Friendly” icon for each one. On the left of the website, where it now says “Previous Blogs”, the “printer friendly” versions of each of those blogs is also available. If you see a blog without a "printer friendly" icon, it means that my son hasn't had a chance to put it in. He hasn't sent me directions on how to do that by myself yet.
  • Links to financial and other resources will be available next week.
  • Topics to the left of the website will now be filled in within the next week. Look for Humorous Stories, Memory Techniques, and Books and Articles.

After a terrible day on Wednesday, I took my own advice (See Relationship Repair to the left), and Sid and I had a “date night” Friday night. We went out to dinner , and then to an outdoor “Oldies” concert    in our Town Square.  Since our Horror Day (See below for 8/16/07 Blog) this week, we have both been trying – he is holding his temper; and I am being more patient with him. We had a pleasant, enjoyable evening. I know there will always be difficult times for us, and unfortunately, they will increase as he declines, but I am so grateful for the times we are able to “reconnect”.

Keep writing on the message boards on the weekend – I will check in regularly, and post them quickly.
