JOAN’S BLOG – FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 2009 -HITTING THE WALL

I guess it was inevitable. One cannot run in circles and then in five different directions at once for an extended period of time without eventually crashing. And that seems to be what has happened to me. I am at this point, so exhausted, I am barely functioning.

Between Sid’s doctor appointments, Alzheimer meetings and conferences, my web writing, marketing, reconfiguring ads, designing for Zazzle, driving everywhere, cruise workshop writing, cruise preparation, finances, insurance problems, and going to social engagements so Sid doesn’t constantly complain about being “stuck in the house”, I am ready to drop. If not already dropped.

And just to add a little aggravation into the mix, my ENT doctor doesn’t want to prescribe the Transderm seasick patch for me to wear on next week’s Caregiver Cruise because I haven’t seen him in a year. I don’t need to see him to know that I will be greener than Kermit the frog, and hanging over the side of the ship if I don’t have that patch! Tomorrow, I will call a dear friend of mine who just happens to be a doctor, and she will call in a prescription for me.

I hope to get much needed rest next week on the Caregiver Cruise.

Please be sure to check in on the weekend for information about the conference I attended on Thursday, and what will be going on here on the website while I am away.

It is now 9 PM on Thursday night, and I am going to bed!
